I approached the writing process for Someone Is Lying as a character, an exaggerated version of myself if you will. At the time I was feeling quite lonely, despite receiving my fair share of attention. And as I’m sure you could guess from the title, trust issues were also pretty big at the time too so I was just fumbling baddies left and right.

But instead of letting that frustration build up inside me, I picked up the proverbial pen and got to work. I was sitting on a beat from my homie PK Flash and I thought it might be fun to keep that happy vibe that the beat was giving, juxtapose it by making the lyrics about how this guy can’t understand what he’s doing thats causing him to be so lonely, while keeping it light with little jokes here in there too.

Definitely one of the songs that I put the most thought into so far, as I had never written anything from a perspective that wasn’t my own. In the end though, I think I pulled it off - a sad song that you can dance to and have a good time.
