Backstory
Me and Zateb started this project so long ago, Imma start by just telling you how we met in the first place. Back when Twitter was fun, I was scrolling along having a good time when I saw a video someone had retweeted. At that time, Zateb had a series on Twitter where they would make songs in the style of another artist, and he had just posted his JID video. I took a clip and made a little joke, and from there we were Twitter friends.
Fast forward a few months, my lease is ending for my apartment in San Marcos, and I had quit my job under the assumption that someone would follow through on a big promise (no need to get into it). Long story short, it fell through and left me with nowhere to really stay.
My manager at the time was living in Minneapolis so he flew me out to stay with him for a minute while I got my feet back under me (another thing that didn’t come to fruition lol)(at least not for awhile). Once this plan was set into motion I realized, Zateb lived in the same place!! We had made a couple of songs remotely while I lived in San Marcos Texas, but now we had the chance to actually sit in a room and make music!
On my second day in the city, me and my manager (aka Sedrique, aka Seddy) made our way over to his house; in that one day we re-recorded Get Up (from a previous remote session), then produced and wrote one of my favorite songs yet, Whoopsies.
Over the next couple of weeks we locked in at his house and knocked down a bunncchh of songs, which ended up being vaulted for like 4 years. Most of it was the fact that neither of us knew how, or could afford to get the songs professionally mastered and they just didn’t sound up to standard for the world.
But once I became an audio engineer, I was able to polish up some these old tracks and bring them out to the world. There are still a few that have yet to reach the world, but while we have these here’s a little more about each song
Tracklist
Track 1: Whoopsies
This song is my favorite off of this project by FAR. Me and Zateb made the beat, wrote and recorded the lyrics, and had a basic mix done on the first day we met in person. This is also one of the first times I mention my gender (non-binary) which just adds a little extra fairy dust to this song that makes it even more special to me
Track 2: Act Up
This is one of the songs we worked on remotely. From time to time Zateb would just send me half finished songs for me to add a verse to and every single time I made sure to rap my absolute best. This time, someone claimed that Teb couldn’t make a twerk song, so of course we had to prove them wrong. Secret fun fact - I actually took part of my flow for my verse from Zateb’s verse. Mainly so the verses would fit together but secretly, I was just such a fan of how he skated on it I had to imitate him (I’m a big Zateb fan)
Track 3: Cotton
I can’t say all too much about this song, just know the lyrics were inspired by some of our extra-curricular activities up in Minneapolis ;)
Track 4: Block me
Another of the songs that Zateb sent me in Texas, this song really grew on me over time. Teb’s lyrics had a bit of an anti-drug spin, so when I first recorded my verse I wasn’t really liking how the verses gelled. But as I listened more and more everything started to settle in and now, I think it’s my second favorite song from the original release.
Track 5: FWA (Bonus)
Ohhh shit you made it to the exclusive joints! This was actually the very first song me and Zateb made together. Not only that, it is the first and only beat that I made completely on my own so this is really a milestone. It’s about those perky motherfuckers who like to hate on you for no reason, when ya’ll could just as easily be friends. Oo pay attention during Zateb’s verse, he has a Teen Titans scheme that goes absolutely insane.
Track 6: France (Bonus)
Now this song, this is my favorite from this version of the EP. It’s a pretty cathartic tune, written about this girl who had me on a Yo-yo string. I’m sure we all know what it’s like to get played, so if you’re going thru a breakup (or situationship dissolution) blast this one on your next long drive and tell me you don’t feel just a little better. I dare you.

But seriously. More Good Raps is cooler.
